Li Yunfeng took over Do-Fluoride from his father after a 20-year grooming

Do-Fluoride New Materials is a global leader in inorganic fluorides, founded by Li Shijiang. In 2002, at 22, his son Li Yunfeng was called back to the family firm. By 2006 he volunteered to lead the company's push into lithium hexafluorophosphate, a key battery electrolyte ingredient.

The effort took eight years of research before mass production in 2014, breaking a Japanese monopoly that had lasted more than 20 years. Li Yunfeng then built the new-energy unit, threading a chain from fluorite to high-purity acid to lithium fluoride to lithium hexafluorophosphate to batteries.

In December 2025 the company's board elected Li Yunfeng chairman and general manager, marking the arrival of the 'post-Li Shijiang' era just as the business swung from losses to profit, with a full-year forecast of ¥200–280M net profit and a stock gain above 100% for the year. The founder stayed on as party secretary, continuing to support the firm he built.
